We always emphasise that every language learner should visit the country of their target language at least once in their lifetime, without which their language-learning journey is incomplete.

However, travelling abroad, especially for the first time, can be overwhelming for many.

Therefore, we ensure that anyone going abroad for our language immersion program is more excited than anxious and that the experience is smooth, enjoyable and memorable.

Here we are, giving Ankita, a Spanish teacher from India, a complete pre-trip orientation before she heads to Spain, for a holistic, week-long, Spanish immersion program consisting of language learning, cultural activities, excursions and intercultural exchanges.

At Languages & Beyond, we strongly believe that when students choose a foreign language such as Spanish Ab initio or Spanish B in IBDP, they should not merely consider it as an academic subject to study and score good marks but also understand and appreciate the culture, similarities with their own culture and differences. Since they already aspire to study abroad and become global citizens, gaining cultural intelligence early on will help them thrive and succeed in multicultural environments.

To give students an immersive experience in the language, we invite a guest faculty from our partner school in Spain to conduct culture and conversational workshops in international schools. Here are glimpses of workshops we conducted with our native Spanish guest faculty in JBCN International Schools (Oshiwara & Parel) and Bombay International School.
